The Piramal Foundation Team Kupwara conducted a district-level workshop and training session at the ICDS office in Kupwara, focusing on the implementation of the Gulabposh project: “Nurturing Futures, Empowering Communities: Assessing Anganwadi Centres for Brighter Beginnings”.
The event was attended by prominent officials and stakeholders, including ADC Kupwara, Mr. Gh Nabi Bhat (JKAS); PO ICDS, Mr. Hakeem Tanveer (JKAS); Lecturer DIET, Mr. Mohd Amin Khan; and Dr. Amir, Medical Officer RBSK, alongside supervisors and Health and Nutrition Mobilisers from ICDS projects.
During the workshop, ADC Mr. Gh Nabi Bhat expressed his confidence that the Gulabposh project would be a catalyst for positive change in the Anganwadi centers. He highlighted that the district will soon witness a transformation and revitalization of Angandwis, bringing in renewed energy and improvements.
PO ICDS, Mr. Hakeem Tanveer, stressed the significance of reaching out to all eligible beneficiaries to ensure effective project implementation and achievement of intended goals at the grassroots level. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to guarantee project success.
Mr. Mohd Amin Khan, Lecturer DIET, elaborated on the importance of Early Childhood Education during the event. He emphasized how it lays the foundation for children’s overall development.
Dr. Amir shed light on the crucial health and nutrition aspects provided in the Anganwadi Centers, emphasizing the essential role of the RBSK team.
Piramal Foundation Team Kupwara played a vital role in facilitating the entire project and providing valuable insights to ensure its successful implementation in the district.
The participants were sensitized about the project’s objectives and were given a Google form to fill out during the assessment phase. This form will serve as a valuable tool to gather information about the Anganwadi Centers, allowing for better evaluation and understanding of the project’s impact.
The workshop marked a significant step towards the successful execution of the Gulabposh project in the district, promising positive changes in the lives of the communities it serves.
