Kupwara: – In a concerted effort to improve road safety and enforce traffic regulations, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) of Kupwara conducted a rigorous enforcement drive today. The initiative resulted in the issuance of e-challans amounting to Rs 30,000 on the spot.
The drive targeted various traffic violations, including driving without a license, over-speeding, and failure to comply with vehicle documentation requirements. The ARTO’s team, equipped with e-challan devices, ensured swift processing and immediate collection of fines, emphasizing the importance of adherence to traffic rules.
Officials from the ARTO’s office expressed that such drives are crucial in curbing road accidents and enhancing the overall safety of commuters in the region. Regular enforcement activities will continue to ensure that road users comply with the necessary regulations, contributing to a safer and more orderly traffic environment in Kupwara.
