KUPWARA, September 10, 2026 — As part of its ongoing public outreach initiative, the Kupwara District Police convened Thana Diwas programs at Police Station Kralpora, Police Station Keran, and Police Post Machil presided over by ASP Kupwara, DySP SOG HQRS Kupwara, and DySP Headquarters Kupwara, respectively with an aim to address civic grievances and reinforce police-community relations. Local residents and community leaders actively raised various local issues, with police-related matters resolved on-site and necessary administrative assurances provided for concerns requiring further action. In addition to grievance redressal, the sessions served to educate participants on combating substance abuse and mitigating cybercrime risks and reaffirming the department’s commitment to responsive and institutionalised public engagement.
