As part of the Aspirational District Collaborative (ADC) Piramal Foundation in collaboration with the Health and Education Department organised Anemia Screening Camp in GHS Rajpora Rajwar customised in line with National Health Mission’s (NHM) Anemia Mukt Bharat. The camp was organised with support from Girls High School Rajpora, Zonal coordinator Altaf Ahmad bhat of block Rajwar and doctors team of Block Zachaldara namely Dr. Aruj(MO RBSK) and Dr. Muneer(MLHP/CLO)Various departments such as Health & Family Welfare, Education, ICDS, Panchayati Raj are converging in this campaign.Close to 200 students of school received free medical check-up and screening. The main target population in the camp were adolescent girls in the age group of 10-19. About 24 people tested at the camp were found Anemic. Piramal Foundation Team Kupwara shared their views by saying that we will bring all the departments together under ADC and work to improve our health and nutrition, and education indicators. This health camp was the beginning of the series of health camps that are going to be conducted all over the kupwara district.It is pertinent to mention that Piramal Foundation is the implementing partner of NITI AYOG in ADC program which currently runs in 112 Aspirational district’s.
