Kupwara, July 24: District Magistrate (DM) Kupwara has today put forth various arrangements for smooth celebration of Eid ul Azha across the district.
In this regard, all Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars have been designated as duty magistrates in their respective jurisdictions. The SSP Kupwara & SP Handwara, besides, Magistrates have been directed to ensure maintenance of social distancing as per prescribed SOPs to avoid any congregation. Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kupwara, SDM Karnah & SDM Lolab and Tehsildars have been asked to keep close liason with local Imams to avoid large gatherings and ensure proper usage of masks.
Tehsildars, Assistant Director Food, Civil supplies & Consumer Affairs(AD FCS&CA), Concerned Executive Officer Municipal Committees, Representatives of Legal Metrology, Food Safety officer shall keep liason with concerned police to conduct joint market checking to check profiteering, black marketing by traders of essential commodities like, mutton, chicken, vegetables, fruits etc.
Executive Engineer Electric Division Kupwara/Handwara, STD Sopore have been ordered to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people especially at all shrines/mosques where prayers are offered.
The AD FCS&CA have been directed to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities including Rice, Atta, Sugar, Kerosene oil and LGP to the people in the district.
Executive Engineer PHE Division Kupwara & Handwara have been directed to ensure uninterrupted supply of drinking water. While as, Executive Officers Municipal Committee, Kupwara, Handwara & Langate have been directed for sanitation and cleanliness of all places from 26th July to 1st August .
CMO Kupwara and BMOs have been directed to ensure availability of basic health facilities, first aid at all Health Centres and Sub Centres across the district. District Sheep Husbandry Officer shall ensure availability of live stock/animals for sacrifice and arrangement of special mandies in coordination with concerned Tehsildars. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kupwara has been ordered to make hassle free availability of chicken with quality and price control. A.D Fire & Emergency Service Kupwara has been directed to make availability of Fire & Emergency services at all prominent locations across the district.
