Kupwara, November 03: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg today said that all issues and grievances pertaining to ex-servicemen and war widows will be resolved on priority basis.
The Deputy Commissioner said this while chairing a meeting of concerned officers and a group of ex-servicemen and war widows who called on him in his office. This was first of its meeting, following the directives of the Government under which these ex-servicemen and war widow can now meet District Administration on every first Tuesday of the month. The Assistant Commissioner Revenue has been nominated as Nodal officer to look into the cases of these ex-servicemen.
While hearing the cases of the group one by one, Deputy Commissioner issued on spot orders to look into the matters of these persons. He referred one SRO case of a war widow belonging to Reshigund to Tehsildar Kralpora to address the issue on priority basis. The Deputy Commissioner also directed the concerned officer to look into the matter of the issue raised by Ex-serviceman regarding irrigation canal from Humandar to Sehipora in Hayhama area.
During the meeting, total 10 grievances were put up. Of these, 3 were redressed, while as others have been put forward for necessary disposal to the concerned.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Bashir Ahmad Bhat; District Information Officer and Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Nissar Ahmad Wani was present at the occasion.
