Kupwara, November 2: Border Security Force is ready to curb infiltration as winters are ahead and militants across border may try to infiltrate due to heavy snowfall, said DIG BSF North Kashmir, R M Krishanan.
Talking to media persons at the sidelines of a program here, the DIG said BSF has always been ready and alert to curtail any kind of infiltration.
“We have always been ready to curb any kind of infiltration. BSF is a frontline force”, he said.
DIG BSF North Kashmir, had earlier inaugurated a medical camp in Saka village of Badinambal, organised by 87 battalion of BSF under ‘Civic Action Programme’. The Commandant of the unit Sanjay Sharma and other officers of the unit were also present during medical camp.
The medical camp was organized in association with team of Doctors from Govt HOspital Handwara consisting of Dr. Aijaz Ahmed Bhat, Dy Superintendent and four doctors including specialist of Orthopedic, Gynecologist, Dental Surgeon and one Lady MO. Besides a team of Doctors from AYUSH Kupwara consisting of Dr. Bashir & two Doctors .Sufficient Allopathic & Ayurvedic medicines have been arranged for distribution amongst villagers based on the prescription by concerned doctors.
During the medical camp 700 villagers were examined and treated by the doctors and disturbed the free medicines.
