Budgam, Sep 23 : A BDC chairman reportedly associated with BJP was shot dead by suspected gunmen in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on late Wednesday.
He was shot at by gunmen near his residence and was later rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
As per reliable sources the deceased Identified as Bhupinder Singh was block development chairperson of block Khag in Budgam district.
Meanwhile, whole area has been cordoned to nab the attackers.
A police officer also confirmed the killing of political activist to a local media platform,Kashmir Despatchand said searches have been launched to nab the attackers.
