New formations hardly impact J&K politics: PDP Leader Mir Mohammad Fayaz

Appeals early release of all political detunes

Srinagar: Sitting PDP Rajya Sabha member Mir Mohmmad Fayaz on Tuesday said that new political formations will hardly impact the politics of Jammu and Kashmir. He appealed authorities to release all political detainees including three former chief ministers of J&K without any delay.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mir said the launch of new political outfit will hardly impact the politics of J&K.“This is a routine exercise in J&K. Many groups were formed in past and it will continue but it doesn’t mean they have been hailed by public widely”, Mir said.He added,

“People are enough mature as far as J&K politics is concerned. They are the best judges. They know which political leader and outfit is worthy?”.Meanwhile he appealed authorities to release all political detainees without any further delay.

“Not only in the house but outside also, several walks of life have raised concern over the detention of political leaders including three former chief ministers – Mehbooba Mufti, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah – who have been detained without any charge. So they should be released and should be allowed to carry out political exercises which is the soul of democracy”, Mir added. (KNS)
