Kupwara: MLA Kupwara Fayaz Ahmed Mir took the initiative to provide emergency relief packages to the victims of a devastating fire in Batpora Hayhama. The incident, which occurred in the middle of the night, left several houses completely destroyed. The affected families, predominantly from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, are now in urgent need of assistance.
During his visit to the area this morning, Mir distributed essential supplies including rice, oil, and blankets to the affected families. He also assured them that government support would be provided soon. The victims appealed to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for a relief package similar to the one provided to Kishtwar fire victims, enabling them to rebuild their homes.
Speaking to the media, MLA Fayaz Ahmed Mir expressed his solidarity with the victims and promised to extend all possible support to them during this difficult time.
