Kupwara: Municipal Council Kupwara Chairman Riyaz Ahmed Mir Thursday greeted to the Muslim community on the eve of Meraj-ul-Alam.
On Meraj-ul-Alam observance, Mir said the night marks the Asuncion of holy messenger of Islam (PBUH) towards heavens. He said the night would be marked by prayers and supplication.
“I hope the auspicious night acts as harbinger of everlasting peace and property in the entire region in particular and the world in general,” he said.
