IGP Kashmir interacted with students of Kupwara and Handwara on their return from Bharat Darshan tour

March 02: IGP Kashmir Shri Vijay Kumar-IPS today interacted with a group of students from Kupwara and Handwara who had returned from a Bharat Darshan tour.

A group of 140 students from Kupwara and Handwara had been on a country wide tour visiting various places of historical and cultural importance and returned back to the valley today. On their return, they interacted with IGP Kashmir sharing their experiences about their visit to different places in various parts of the country. The students shared their thoughts while interacting with IGP Kashmir and expressed their happiness for facilitating such tour across country which has enabled them to acquire knowledge about various parts of the country.

IGP Kashmir in his address to the students appreciated the enthusiasm of the youths. While interacting with the students, IGP Kashmir advised them to avail the opportunities of travel because travelling imparts them learning which cannot be acquired otherwise from books and classrooms. Travelling and tours allow the opportunity to meet people and share the experiences with their peer group.

IGP Kashmir emphasized on the students to prioritise sports as it helps an individual to develop a good personality and improve health. A healthy mind is disciplined and leads to good work. He advised the students to contribute towards the nation building and become an asset for the society. IGP Kashmir underscored the need to focus the energy of young souls in positive direction so as to lead a successful life. He also advised students to remain away from social evils like drug abuse.

The visiting students thanked IGP Kashmir for facilitating such tours and were assured by IGP Kashmir that police will continue to facilitate such tours for the youths of valley and wished them all the success in their careers.
