Inspects 6.3MVA Receiving Station, PHC Dudi, Reviews Developmental works
Kupwara, August 26: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today visited border area Machill and reviewed developmental works going on in the area, besides, inspected 6.3MVA Receving Station and PHC Dudi. Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, JD Planning, DPO, DFO Kamraj, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti Department, PMGSY, REW and other sectoral officers accompanied DDC.

The DDC inspected 6.3MVA Receiving Station Dudi which has been established at a cost of Rs. 6.75 crore. The electrical works on the Receiving Station are nearing completion and DDC directed the concerned to electrify the transformer by September 15 for providing power supply to the people of Machill. He directed them for construction of protection bund around the Station for its safety.
The DDC also inspected Primary Health Centre Dudi and interacted with medical staff which was present there. The DDC was informed that sufficient supply of essential drugs are available in the PHC. Regarding Covid Sampling, it was informed that a 4 member medical team is designated which are doing sampling on daily basis and 251 samples have been taken so far in the entire Machill block. The DDC also inspected Birth cum Waiting rooms for pregnant ladies being constructed at an approved cost of Rs. 57 lakh located near the PHC.
Earlier, the DDC chaired a joint meeting of officers and PRIs and reviewed various developmental works going on in the area.
On the occasion, the PRIs apprised the DDC about their problems and demands which include macadamization of Dudi-Dupel road, Chontwari road, Individual bunkers and pending payments under MGNREGA. The DDC heard them patiently and issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for resolving their issues.
It was informed in meeting that 24 Community bunkers are coming up in the border block out of 30 sanctioned bunkers. The DDC directed the concerned to speed up the pace of construction work and complete all the bunkers by September 15.
