KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 20: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din today chaired a public darbar at Thayan, Kalaroos which was attended by civil officers and elected representatives.
On the occasion, DDC Kalaroose, Mustafa Rahi and other elected members apprised the District Development Commissioner about various development and public issues facing the people of the area. The issues raised were contaminated water supply, unscheduled power cuts, repairing of roads, and shortage of teaching staff in schools besides, demanded separate bank branch at Surkoli. They also put forth demand for minimizing power tariffs to the poor households of the area.
The DDC heard the issues and demands patiently and issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for resolving the genuine issues of the people in a time bound manner.
Meanwhile, the DDC distributed PMJAY Gold Health Cards among 32 beneficiaries. Certificate of appreciation were also distributed among six CSC Village Level Entrepreneurs.
Later, the DDC visited Health & Welness Centre Kalaroose and inspected indoor and outdoor section, labour room, and dental sections of the hospital.
