KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today visited Pohrupeth of Handwara sub division and condoled the demise of a minor child who died in an incident recently.
The DC offered his condolences with the bereaved family and paid relief of Rs.10000 under Red Cross.
He was accompanied by DDC Member Langate, Khurshid Ahmad and BDC Langate, Showkat Ahmad Pandit.
The DC also visited Dardpora Kralpora and paid condolences with the bereaved families whose kids were drowned to death recently. He paid relief of Rs.10000 each to the bereaved family under Red Cross Fund.
He also inspected the Winter Tutorial centre at Govt Higher Secondary school Unisoo.
On the occasion, the DC distributed masks among the children and exhorted upon them to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour and ensure usage of masks and maintain social distancing.
During the visit, the DC met several public delegations and heard their day to day issues. He assured them redressal of their genuine issues.
