Convenes public darbar at Dardpora, hears public issues

KUPWARA, AUGUST 18: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today visited Lolab sub division, convened a public darbar at Middle School Dardpora and heard public issues.
    Addressing the Public Darbar at Dardpora, the Deputy Commissioner said that three tier Panchayati Raj System is now available for time bound redressal of public grievances at local level. He said with the proper planning at panchayat level development in villages can be easily made by converge  of various schemes like MGNREGA and 14th F.C.
       Referring to the COVID vaccination, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the people for their cooperation in achieving 100 percent vaccination target of above 45 year aged people in the district. He appealed the youth to come forward for vaccinating themselves at nearby Vaccination Centres and safeguarding their lives against the pandemic.
       Earlier, PRIs and local people apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various developmental  issues including upgradation of local road, water supply, release of payments under RDD schemes and augmenting of playgrounds in the area.
      On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner heard the people patiently and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers for time bound redressal of the issues raised.
     Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the newly macadamized Wavoora-Sogam PMGSY road.
         SDM Lolab, Aijaz Ahmad; ACD Kupwara, AD Food, BMO Sogam, officers of local administration, PRIs and large number of people participated in the public darbar.
