KUPWARA, JUNE 11: Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Imam Din today said that the joint efforts made by Health, Civil and Police administration in mitigation process of COVID-19 has yielded better results on ground across district Kupwara but it is still advisable for all to hold COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) religiously and honestly and vaccinate themselves at nearest vaccination centres.
The Deputy Commissioner was addressing media persons here regarding COVID containment measures in the district.
The SSP Kupwara, Dr.G.V.Sandeep and District Information Officer Kupwara Mohammad Yousuf Mir were present at the occasion.
Giving details, the Deputy Commissioner said that the recovery rate has increased upto 91.10% whileas, positivity rate has drastically come down to 5.3% in the district. He congratulated all those persons involved in Covid-19 mitigation efforts for their hard work and good result.
The Deputy Commissioner said that number of total positive cases in the district is 13058 whileas the number of recovered patients is 11896. He said the district witness 149 deaths since the beginning of Covid-19.
Regarding Isolation of positive cases, the Deputy Commissioner said that 76 positive cases are in Hospital Isolation while as 952 positive cases are under home isolation.
Deputy Commissioner reiterated his appeal and urged upon the people of district Kupwara to religiously follow the Covid appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and attend nearnest Vacciantion centres for timely inoculation against Covid-19 pandemic. He also appleaded media persons to promote positivity with regard to COVID containment efforts in the district.
