Srinagar, Oct 18 : President Muncipal Council Kupwara Reyaz Ahmad Mir Monday greeted people on the very auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) and prayed for peace, stability and prosperity of the people.
President in a statement issued to the webportal kupwaratimes.com— has said that the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was the greatest gift from Almighty Allah to mankind, whose teachings (Sunnah) will continue to lead the mankind at the path of truthfulness and righteousness.
Mir said the world needs to follow the teachings of the Prophet (SAW), who taught us to respect humanity irrespective of colour or religion, tolerance and compassion, which need to be strictly followed.
On this occasion, let us pray for prevalence of peace and stability in J&K, safety and wellbeing of the people, Mir added and also prayed for end to bloodshed.
