Kupwara, Oct 30 : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan(IAS) today handed over the keys of the 45 commercial subsidized vehicles to the unemployed youth of the district under the ‘Mumkin’- a livelihood generation scheme in transport sector, in a function held at DC Office Complex Kupwara.
The District Information Officer Kupwara, Account Officer to DC Kupwara, AD Employment DE&CC Kupwara, Carrier Counselling Officer DE&CC Kupwara, Employment Officer DE&CC Kupwara, and representatives from different automobile companies and beneficiaries were present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner, who is also the Chairperson of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC), while complimenting the beneficiaries, emphasised upon them to work with passion and dedication to earn a decent livelihood with dignity. She said that such government schemes are aimed to empower the unemployed youth by providing them assistance and opportunity to create a niche in the society.
She further said that efforts are afoot to provide more opportunities and proper facilities to enable the youth to realize their dreams and aspirations.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked the beneficiaries to educate other unemployment youths to avail the benefits of the Government sponsored schemes.
DC directed concerned officers to bring more unemployed youth under the ambit of the employment germination schemes.
She urged unemployed youth to come forward and avail benefits under different livelihood generation schemes of the government.
