The gunfight broke out this morning after forces launched a cordon and search operation by joint troops of CRPF Valley QAT (Quick Action Team), 115 Bn, 28Bn CRPF and J&K Police after getting inputs about presence of militants
This is the second encounter in Srinagar in recent time. Earlier, top Hizb commander Junaid Sahrai was killed in a gunfight in the city.
Meanwhile, mobile internet services have been suspended in Srinagar as a precautionary measure
