Srinagar, Mar 09: Youth Public Welfare forum (YPWF) -a ray of hope and Forest Department in collaboration with Anwaria Educational Trust thandoosa Lolab organized a plantation programme under “Green Lolab Initiative ” at Thandoosa Lolab here today.
On the occasion saplings of different varieties were planted in Thandoosa Village of Lolab valley.
On the occasion Chairman Youth Public welfare forum,Aijaz Ahmad said that tree plantation is most important to boost environmental protection measures as well as promote afforestation.
He appreciated the efforts of the Forest Department for organizing such events. He emphasized that such programmes should be organized in every villagr of Lolab valley and the forum will collaborate for greening of playing fields, stadiums, School grounds and office campuses and every village of Lolab.
School authorities and Chairman (YPWF) thanked Conservator of Forests Irfan Rasool, DFO Kamraj Division, Zahid Aslam and Range officer Sogam for organizing plantation drive in the area.
