Srinagar: To pay homage to the the Martyrs, two wreath laying ceremonies were held at DPL Srinagar. First ceremony was held in the morning in which wreaths were laid on the mortal remains of SPO Altaf Ahmad Najar No. 1444/SPO, who got critically injured in an encounter at Zanigam
Beerwa Budgam, subsequently attained martyrdom on 19.02.2021 and in second ceremony was held in the afternoon on which wreaths were laid on the mortal remains of Sgct Mohammad Yousf No. 3431/S & Ct. Suhail Ahmad No.2150/S, who got critically injured in a shootout incident near Bhaghat Chowk Srinagar subsequently both of them attained martyrdom on 19.02.2021. Wreath laying ceremonies for the martyrs was today held at District Police Lines Srinagar and rich floral tribute was paid to them.
Senior officers of Police, Paramilitary Forces/Army & Civil Administration were present including IGP Kashmir Shri Vijay Kumar-IPS, DIG CKR Shri Amit Kumar-IPS, DC Srinagar Shri Shahid Iqbal Choudhary-IAS, DC Budgam Shri Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza KAS, DIG CRPF Sec Ops. Shri Kishore Prasad, DIG CRPF South, I/C SSP Srinagar Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS, SSP Security Kashmir Shri Imtiyaz Hussain-JKPS & Shri M Majid Malik-JKPS SP Headquarters Srinagar, SP South City, SP West City Srinagar, CO CRPF 23rd BN Shri U.P. Singh, CO BSF Sec. HQ Panthachowk, Shri Mund Sahab, CO Army Supply Depot BB cantt. Shri Jamwal & other officers paid rich tributes to Martyrs & laid floral wreaths in two different events at DPL Srinagar on their mortal remains for their supreme sacrifice.
