Rakshabandhan was celebrated with fervour at Patahirri where women from Kupwara tied rakhis as a show of solidarity and bonding to the jawans on 22 Aug 21.
Women beneficiaries from JSS centres in Kupwara along with Deaf and mute female youth of Kupwara attended the function organised at Patahirri to celebrate rakshabandhan.
Attendees appreciated the initiative and expressed that such events strengthen the inherent bond among the various cultures, states and people of the country.
A rakhi from the Women of Kupwara Kashmir for a soldier in Jammu and Kashmir is a message that sisters across the country are praying for the safety of their brothers in the security forces, who are in turn guarding the borders day and night for their safety.
