Distt president has no authority to kick out any worker:BJP Minority Morcha vice president
Workers have to follow protocol, distt pres. never gave such statement: Mir Basharat
Kupwara,August 8: The tussle between Bhartiya Janta Party leaders in Kupwara is making rounds in audio clips across the watsapp groups.
Interestingly on August 8, a news gathering agency has carried a statement of the BJP Kupwara president that an active worker from Kupwara district, Javid Qureshi will be thrown out of party. The statement was later rebutted by the party spokesperson.
Issuing a statement today, BJP Minority Morcha Vice President, J&K, Ab Rehman Lone, while talking to a Senior Journalist, Fayaz Hamid, an audio clip which was widely circulated, claimed that district president has no authority to kick out a person from the party. “We will raise this issue with General Secretary Ashok Kaul ji an State President. Who is district president to say he will cancel anyone’s basic membership”, he said. This audio clip, critical to the party district president, has created further rucks in the party as workers are divided whether party should take action against Javid Qureshi or not.
Meanwhile party spokesperson Kupwara, Mir Basharat has issued a statement which reads that,”Party district president never said that Javid Qureshi will be thrown out of party or that his basic membership will be cancelled. Yes, he has said that action will be taken against anyone, who doesn’t follow the protocol”. The statement also reads that, this issue has been discussed with the North Kashmir Head of the party. He rubbishes any claim that there is any tussle in-between the party workers.
