Three Months On,NHM employees without wages,

Urges Hon’ble LG to redress their grievances.

Sgr=06 May=The national health mission employees on thursday expressed deep anguish over the negligence from the administration as they are without salaries from last three months.

According to the reports which states that the nearly Nine Thousand Employees working under the ambit of National Health Mission in hospitals across the UT-J&K are working tirelessly without salaries from last three months.These frontline workers are performing their legitimate duties that too during this pandemic with zeal and zest without any risk allowances,social security benefits.

President of the Association,Muneer Andrabi while communicating with the reporter said that “this is very unfortunate that our NHM employees are without salaries from last three months despite being at forefront under this critical time when the whole world is under the grip of Covid.I urged the authorities to redress the grievances of the employees especially their salaries should be released on priority basis on the occasion of Eid and Shabi I Qadr as we are not able to support our families to observe these religious festivals.”

“He said that it has become a habit on part of government that they never release the salary to NHM employees on time.Despite these desperate time we are working 24 hrs and arguments the health services to general masses,but in return we have been deprived from our basic dues'”.

He urged Hon’ble LG-UT JK to take cognaince and initiate process with regard to our job security, financial security and social security,so that we are able to put in our best and concerted efforts for achievement of objective of the Mission”.

He said that“There is complete apathy on part of the government and nothing seems to move.If the government fails to address our grievances we may have to take harsher steps in future, the responsibility of which will squarely lie on the government”, he further added.

The employees urged the government to fulfil all their demands within time bond manner nevertheless they has to face a state wide agitation.( kupwaratimes.com)
