Three missing girls recovered within 12 hours in Gbl

Srinagar, Oct 29: Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday claimed to have recovered three missing girls within 12 hours in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

“On 26-10-2021, Police Station Kheerbawani received a written complaint from the parents of 03 minor girls hailing from Tulmulla area stating that their daughters had not return home after school,” a police spokesman said .

Accordingly, police said a case under FIR number 62/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kheerbawani and investigation was initiated.

On receipt of this report, SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar constituted a special team under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Abdul Maajid for tracking the missing girls.

During the course of investigation, after strenuous efforts a police team led by SHO PS Kheerbawani Insp Sajad Ahmad along with the active assistance of Udhampur Police traced the said missing girls from Udhampur.

Pertinently, the missing girls were recovered within 12 hours and handed over to their parents after legal formalities.

Meanwhile, people including the parents of the missing girls appreciated the swift action of police in tracing the missing girls and reuniting them with their families.
