Speculations are rife that an advisory council headed by Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Chief Syed Altaf Bukhari is likely to be formed in Jammu and Kashmir with many senior political leaders of the party joining the formation.
Sources in the party told that negotiations with the center were at final stage and the announcement was likely in coming few days. They added that about 10 to 12 leaders could be inducted in the council which would be headed by Mr. Bukhari. If sources are to be believed young faces from North Kashmir and South Kashmir were also likely to find place in the council that will be delegated with all powers except home.
“I think this will be a full government which will have all powers without home. For home department, they would be sending recommendations but cannot take decision of their own.” A senior leader of the JKAP told RNA wishing not to be named.
The sources maintained that Mr. Bukhari who has been camping in New Delhi amid Covid lockdown was likely to arrive in Srinagar on 28th of May after which the consultations within the party would begin to finalize the names of the probables for the council.
Sources also said that many leaders of the party may get the positions of District Development Boards, and the vice Chairperson positions in the semi autonomous corporations and boards.
Meanwhile media reports suggested that the oath taking ceremony would be held on June 2nd.
