Private school Association Zone Trehgam held silent protest against school “Bandh”

Kupwara,April 10: In a first of its kind, private school association education zone Trehgam, of Kupwara district, held a silent protest here in Trehgam, against recent order of closing of schools.

In a statement issued by the Private School Association Kupwara, Zone Trehgam, it stated that”This protest is not against anyone but pro-education. Government has to rethink how to rejuvenate education system instead of closing it. We must learn to live with this virus, not to die with it”. The statement further added that government should ensure the rehabilitation or compensation of private school teachers and school management.

President Private School Association Zone Trehgam, Bilal Rizwan said that, ” We in kashmir are the worst hit of every untoward. Government should seriously think to rehabilitate or compensate teachers and school management. In 2019-2020, private schools lost almost everything in terms of finance and management, yet government didn’t pay attention towards this community. Pupil in our areas loose their education spirit even. Government should think about their future” ,the statement further reads.

This school association further pushed the government for guidelines of community classes. “Online classes are not more practical. It doesn’t provide the education a student requires. Government should allow hybrid model of education as suggested by our state president, where children should be allowed for Councilling in the schools”.
