Kupwara, MAY 15: The Chief Medical Officer has directed the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital (DH),Handwara to constitute a committee and submit report within two days, after a doctor was reportedly found in”Private Practice”, despite his duty on roaster in DH Handwara.
In a viral video, a sting operation, by a young journalist, Suhail Yousuf Shah, on his verified Facebook page, a Doctor (Pediatrician) was found in his private clinic in Kupwara, while as he was on duty in Handwara.
The journalist who did this sting operation while talking to kupwaratimes.com said that he verified the case first.
” A source told me that the doctor is performing private practice while his name is on roster in DH Handwara. I cross checked it with Medical Superintendent Handwara, both matched and I took the step”, he said.
The video has gone viral and has over thirty five thousand views.
Pertinent to mention here, doctors and other paramedic staff are working tirelessly in this pendamic but, as commented by a user on Facebook page, “Some people are making it worse for the people who literally take risks in these tough times”.
