It’s a literal revolution coupled by intellectual awakening that a country suffering from deprived reasoning and scholarly teachings can wake up to a new Dawn with enlightenment of it’s people and prosperity of it’s land… believing that prisoners even if habitual offenders or people in conflict with law are still a constitutive part of this society and deserve to be treated ordinately on reformatory lines in order to help them assimilate back into the unwelcoming society that they who have already suffered much for their inactions and survived their judicial sentences deserve to be treated fairly ,for no soul is unhinged by birth but its the pacularity of trying times that seasons them awry and unravels their unsolicited behavior.
Asif Iqbal Shayiq hailing from district kupwara has published his maiden book titled “Prison and Prejudice” which talks about the prisoner Rights and violations thereoff , it’s an excellent attempt that highlights the high-handedness of law enforcement agencies and the pain and sufferings of inmates behind the unforgiving 4 walls of those dark dungeons. The book is recieving immense appreciation for it’s bold yet substantiated and well researched revelations. Asif has recently completed his LLM from Amity University and intends to persue his PhD in law.we wish him good luck for his book and best in future endeavors.
The book is available on Amazon in paperback edition ,you can also buy its e- copy variant on Amazon Kindle and Google play (e- books).
