Police Premier T-20 knock out tournament being played in the memory of Police martyrs was today inaugurated by SSP Kupwara Yougal Manhas at Galizoo sports stadium Kupwara .
The inaugural match of the tournament 2022, was held today between City Club Kupwara and Coaching Centre Kupwara, where City Club Kupwara outplayed Coaching Centre and won comfortably by a margin of 57 runs.The Knock out tournament is being organised under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) of JK Police. It is endeavour of JK Police to provide suitable platform to Youth of Kupwara to display their talent in the tournament and channelise their energy positively in nation building . The main objective of the tournament is to provide competitive exposure to local youth and to spread the message of Peace.
Speaking on the occasion SSP Kupwara laid emphasis on the importance of sports in overall personality development and healthiness of the society.
In total 16 teams of the district are participating in the tournament which will be played in a T-20 format.
