PDP refutes news about Kupwara Mandate

Some miscreants spreading rumours to weaken party

Srinagar: Strongly refusing that party has declared mandate to any person in Kupwara constituency, People’s Democratic Party(PDP) leaders said “These rumours are just to weaken party”.

This political storm in Kupwara constituency took place, after Some social media pages posted that social activist; Showkat Masoodi from Kupwara has been given the PDP ticket to contest upcoming assembly elections from Kupwara.PDP strongly rufuted these rumors.A Party leader said that these rumors and baseless things are being spread by some miscreants to create confusion among the party workers with the aim to weaken the party at the grassroots level.

Party district organisor, Gh Mohd Mir while talking to kupwaratimes.com said, “This is totally baseless, party has not declared any mandate for any person as of now. There is party political Affairs committee which decides mandate to people. This is an attempt to divide party workers and some miscreants are spreading rumours to weaken PDP. I will definitely take this issue with the high command for necessary action”.

Meanwhile District President PDP, Mohd Afzal Wani said that party has not taken any such decision. I request party workers to stand United and not give heed to such rumours”.
