Srinagar, August 8: Directing the recognised unaided private schools, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir has directed that the schools must pay uninterrupted salaries to its staff and can only charge Tuition fee from the students.
The order reads that the complaints received by the office from the school staff that they are either not paid or dismissed from jobs during this pendamic has been taken seriously.”The Directorate has received complaints from the staff of recognised unpaid private schools regarding their termination of services or non-payment of salaries”. The Directorate further orders that the schools can only charge Tuition fee from the students during this pendamic Covid-19 so that they can pay salaries to the staff.
The schools who will not adhere to the orders will be dealt with strictly and their registrations will be cancelled.”Incase any violation/non-seriousness (Of the order) strict action shall be initiated against the particular school in terms of relevant provisions of law which include de-recognition thereof without further intimation”, reads the order.
