Gulmarg : Several tourists who are currently on a trip to world’s famous tourist destination Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla appealed outsiders to visit Kashmir and don’t pay heed to media which is spreading fear and unfounded things about this paradise outside J&K.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), with the onset of winter this year tourists from several parts of country have started to reach Gulmarg with their families. Amidst the freezing temperatures the tourists are enjoying the snow and has appealed people outside UT to visit this part of paradise and don’t give damn to national media who is portraying wrong about Kashmir.

A family from Gurgaon, New Delhi who visited this famous Ski resort few days ago told KNS that the situation in Kashmir is absoutely peaceful and those wish to come here should not pay heed to propaganda being spread on national media.

“My son made this trip months ago but I opposed then due to situation projected by national media. They were often saying about bullets, grenades, killings and fear”, Rajat Kumar told KNS and added, “All such things proven wrong when we visited here”.

“Today we feel the Kashmir is the same Kashmir which we visited 40-years ago. I visited this place in 1980 with my wife”, Rajat said.

He said outsiders who wish to come here for a trip should not be away on the teachings of national media. “There is peace. The love and hospitality showed by locals is praise worthy. What is being portrayed in national media is unfounded and mere propaganda”, he said.

The family in a unanimous voice appealed tourists to vist Kashmir without fear and enjoy the natures beauty.

Notably since August 5, 2019 the tourism industry in Kashmir had been the worst hit due to uncertain situation. On August 2 late night the then Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik directed all national and international tourists to curtail their visit and return to their native places immediately.
