Chairman LCDI appeals LG to resolve the issue immediately
Kupwara , Nov, 25: Residents of langate Constituency including senior citizens today staged protest demonstration against Power Development Department (PDD) at Kralgund.
The protest was organized under the leadership of Chairman Langate Constituency Development Initiative against PDD for continuing power curtailment from couple of weeks.
He said on one side J&K Administration claimed that New Kashmir will be developed but on the other side it harass public because of unscheduled power cuts and scarcity of potable water that too in harsh winter.
“The PDD is testing our patience as we have been facing hardships due to a power crisis, The children, old and infirm are the worst sufferers especially the students.
“Despite our repeated pleas, the PDD has failed to resolve the problem. We will be forced to launch a massive agitation against the Authorities in case the power supply is not restored at the earliest to our area,” he said.
Munawar Khawaja also demanded for completion of safalpora receiving station, Upgradation of ganapora receiving station, creation of new receiving station at walrama and palpora.
