As part of the nationwide vaccination drive against Covid 19, Kupwara Terriers (Indian Army) in collaboration with Zila Sainik Board organized a vaccination drive and free medical camp at Zila Sainik Board office in Kupwara.
The vaccination drive was successfully carried out with 87 beneficiaries (65 Males & 22 Females) receiving vaccines today (09 received 1st dose and 78 received 2nd dose).
The Ex service men and their dependent families cooperated and participated in the process and no side effects were reported. The army doctor also educated the ESM about AEFI precautions and safety measures to keep themselves and family members safe from this deadly virus.
The vaccination drive was attended by the DC Kupwara, Commanding Officer Kupwara Terriers and district admin and ZSB officials, they also discussed the problems being faced by the ESM and assured assistance and cooperation to resolve any issues.
Indian Army is always in the forefront of conducting such initiatives with aim to reach out to the ESM and local community in the remote areas and ensure they get the necessary medical assistance during difficult times like these.
