Keran village came alive with the spirit of unity and responsibility as an inspiring cleanliness drive was organized under the nationwide campaign “Swachhata Hi Seva 2025.” The event was spearheaded by MY Bharat, Mera Yuva Bharat Kupwara in collaboration with the Indian Army Rashtriya Rifles and the Khatana Action Club, drawing participation from every corner of the community.
The cleanliness drive was graced by the presence of the Indian Army Rashtriya Rifle Battalion, former BDC chairpersons, ex-sarpanchs, senior citizens, school children, and health employees. Their collective participation reflected a powerful message of inclusivity, commitment, and shared responsibility.
One of the most moving moments of the day came when every participant held clip cards in their hands, pledging together: “We promise to keep our village clean and green.” This emotional gesture not only symbolized their determination but also strengthened the bond of unity among the villagers.
School children actively took part, showcasing their energy and hope for a brighter, healthier tomorrow. Senior citizens and community leaders expressed their happiness, emphasizing that true progress begins with cleanliness, discipline, and the participation of every individual.
The event concluded with renewed hope and inspiration, reminding everyone that Keran is not just a border village but a beacon of resilience and responsibility. By standing together, the people of Keran have once again shown that cleanliness is not merely a task but a promise to the future.
