Srinagar, September 9: Hours after Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut equated the demolition of her office in Mumbai to the exile of Kashmiri Pandits and announced a film on their plight, the community lashed out at the actor for her comment.
The Kashmiri Pandits strongly rejected controversial actor’s statement for using ‘their suffering’ for her own “Agenda” against the Maharashtra government, with which she is locked in a war of words. The Kashmiri Pandits took to social media and started ‘not in my name’ campaign.
Mohit Bhan a Kashmiri Pandit and PDP Spokesperson took to social media site Facebook where he asked the actor to not use their (Kashmiri Pandit’s) name for her Personal gains.
“After BJP having successfully marketed pain & agony of Kashmiri Pandits for electoral gains across country. Here’s a politically motivated actress dragging KP’s (Kashmiri Pandits) for personal reprieve.”
Bhan also gave credit to Shiv Sena for
“Reserving seats for Migrant KP youth in technical education institutes leading to economic stability”.
Not only Bhan, but renowned Kashmiri Pandit Journalist and Author,Rahul Pandita too slams Kangna Ranaut
“For God’s sake, stop taking our name in vain. We refuse to be pawns in your battles of punny egos”, Pandits tweeted.
While as journalist Sagrika Kissu, tweeted that Kashmiri Pandits do not need any “Outsider” to use their miseries for personal vendetta.
It is pertinent to mention that, Bombay Municipal Corporation today demolished illegal construction of Kangna’s house which later she compared to “Ram Mandir”.
Notably Kangna Ranaut entered into a verbal spat with Maharashtra Government ever since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide. Following her war of words, Ranaut was recently given Y+ security cover by the Modi government at centre.
