Srinagar, May 28 : Amid COVID-19 second wave across the country a Kashmir based (NGO) All Jammu Kashmir Youth Society has started distribution of food kits and essential items in Kashmir Province with a message – “Keep your cameras at home while helping people”.

All JK Youth Society President Sajid Yousuf said “We have verified all but five hundred families across Kashmir who are in need of food kits, so our team will deliver it to their houses.

Sajid said just like the rest of the country, Kashmir is in the grips of the CoronaVirus crisis and the daily case count being reported from Kashmir continues to be in thousands. Kashmir is forced to fight the pandemic with even poorer health infrastructure than bigger cities like Delhi.

Our non-profit society is on the ground and responding to the crisis with helping food kits and other essential items among needy people across the valley.

He said that they have also started a helpline number 9622444913 on which the needy people can call, and they will travel to their area to serve them adding that this initiative will go on till June 3.
