Srinagar, 30 May: Jammu Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has felicitated people on the eve of Khirbhawani Mela.
In a press statement, JKPM Vice President Feroze Peerzada said that the festival is a shining example of communal harmony and brotherhood, which has been the hallmarks of the glorious pluralistic ethos of Jammu and Kashmir in the centuries past. “Mela Kheer Bhawani is an important festival for the state and a marker of its pluralism and inclusion”, Feroze said.
JKPM Leader Ashok Karihaloo has extended greetings to the Pandit community on the eve of mela Khir Bhawani. Ashok said that Kashmiri Pandits are an important part of J&K’s pluralistic society and Kashmir is incomplete without their return. He has prayed for peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in the State.
