JKPM Condemns Killing Of Civilian in Sopore: Demands Impartial Probe

JKPM Demands Immediate Sanction and Establishment of Maternity Hospital in Kupwara

Srinagar, July 02: Jammu Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has condemned the killing of a civilian during a gunfight on Monday in Sopore and has demanded an impartial probe into the heart-wrenching incident.

In a press statement JKPM Vice President Advocate Syed Iqbal Tahir said that on the basis of the family version of the deceased and the circumstantial evidence strongly require that the government should order an impartial investigation into the circumstances that led to the killing of a civilian who was on the way to Sopore.

“Such incidents can never be acceptable in any civilized society. It is therefore imperative upon the government to establish the verity behind the gruesome incident” Iqbal Tahir said in his statement.

JKPM express its grief and sympathy with the bereaved familiy and reiterated that violence in all forms is condemnable.
