Kupwara, Jun 12: The two days mega event “JASHN- E- DRUGMULLA – PARWAZ-E-KASHMIR” organized by Indian Army at Higher Secondary School, Drugmulla concluded on Sunday evening admist large gathering of people who participated in the event with full vigour and were seen enjoying with their families on both the days.
The two day mega event had free medical,dental and drug de-addiction camp, stalls from department of handicraft and handloom, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and career counselling by Skyline.
The event also has singing and dancing talent hunt, free swings and various games for childern with attractive prizes.
A volleyball championship was also organised in the occasion in which Young Boys , Andherhama emerged victorious. People were seen taking full benefit of free medical and dental camp and childern enjoyed the free swings and won attractive prizes by participating in number of games.
A tug of war was also organised wherein a total of eight teams from different panchayats participated with full enthusiasm and Drugmulla C emerged victorious.
The event also had a scintillating dance performance on Kashmiri songs by Yemberzal Cultural Group. In addition to other cultural programmes, the main attraction of the mega event was exhilarating performance by Kashmir’s own Arijit Singh – Ishfaq Kawa who mesmerized the audience with his soulfoul voice.
Speaking on the occasion, GOC Vajr Division, Major General Girish Kalia praised the local talent and complimented the artists for their wonderful renditions and carrying forward the rich heritage of Kashmiri culture.
The GOC qouted our late Honourable President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and urged everyone to be part of Parwaz -e- Kashmir by contributing towards taking Kashmir to newer and greater heights.
At the conclusion of the event, all the participants were felicitated by the GOC. All the attendees went back satisfied as joyful souls with reverberating music in their heart and thanked Indian Army for organising such a mega event.
