Kupwara, June 08: With emergence of COVID-19 the nature has taught mankind the importance of ecosystem and the consequences of damages caused to it by humans. Indian Army inspired and taught the locals of Muhri the ways to preserve nature like avoiding use of plastics, planting more and more trees, keeping rivers clean etc.
Locals were also made aware about the COVID-19 symptoms, protocols, and were also guided to get registered and get vaccinated. AWAM came out and lend their time by cleaning the river and nearby areas. Everyone took an oath to preserve nature and contribute in every way possible to restore ecosystem.
On the same eve, Being Heart, a NGO from Delhi, in collaboration with Muhri Company of Humdard-E-Kupwara Battalion distributed 41 food packets to the needy families of upper reaches of Muhri, thus making an effort to alleviate their hardships in times of lockdown.
AWAM thanked Indian Army and NGO Being Heart for providing help to the needy and also expressed their heartfelt gratitude for showing the young generation ways to connect to the Mother Earth.
