Srinagar 22nd Oct.: AIP’s Political Affairs Committee and its core group met jointly under the Chairmanship of Ishtiyaq Qadri who heads the PAC of the Party.
Tread bear discussions were held regarding the upcoming Parliamentary Elections in the country and since the party believes in the beauty Indian of Democracy and electoral politics, it was unanimously decided to contest the Parliamentary Elections in the UT on all the five Parliamentary Constituencies on its own and independently. Keeping in view the aspirations and sentiments of the voters of Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency, Party Supremo Er Rasheed will be fielded as a candidate from this constituency. It was later on declared in the Press Conference by Ishtiyaq Qaderi in presence of all the senior leaders including Prince Parvaiz The General Secretary, Firdous Baba Spokesperson and Parvaiz Jamal, Adv. Ubaid Shams, (Chairman Legal Cell), Dr. Bari and Farooq Ahmad. Release of all the political prisoners including Er Rasheed was also demanded in the Press Conference.
