KUPWARA, AUGUST 5: The spirit of patriotism is sweeping across Kupwara district as the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign 2025 gains strong momentum. Under the nationwide initiative launched as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the District Administration Kupwara has geared up to ensure wide public participation through a series of vibrant activities across schools, public institutions and communities.
The campaign, which runs from August 2 to August 15, is being implemented in three phases, with the first phase (August 2–8) currently underway. This initial phase is focused on spreading awareness and building patriotic fervor, especially among the youth.
As part of the first phase, schools, colleges, and public institutions across Kupwara are engaging in:
• Wall decoration drives, with students and staff creatively painting school walls with patriotic themes and messages.
• Thematic exhibitions, showcasing India’s rich history, the evolution of the national flag, and stories of national heroes.
• Tiranga Rangoli competitions, being organized across schools, public spaces, and marketplaces, adding color and vibrancy to the campaign.
• Various awareness and cultural activities, including essay competitions, quizzes, and patriotic song performances.
The district administration, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, has called for active community participation and coordination at all levels—right from panchayats to educational institutions and youth clubs.
The second and third phases of the campaign (August 9–12 and August 13–15 respectively) will focus on community mobilization and mass flag hoisting, culminating in the grand celebrations of Independence Day.
