Kupwara, June 26: In continuation of its efforts to aware people about the importance of vaccination GOONJ NGO conducted Covid vaccination awareness programs in Rang village of Wavoora block in Lolab area of Kupwara district. As the vaccination programme has been launched to vaccinate the people against covid infection there are various misunderstandings among the people about the authenticity and various myths related to covid vaccine.Block Medical Officer Sogam, Dr. Fareed Shaheen discussed in detail about the importance of vaccination and how it’s effective to bring down the risk of getting covid infection.During the interactive sessions local residents shared their apprehensions and myths related to the process of vaccination which were thoroughly answered and explained by the Doctors.Most prominent and common myth among the people was related to infertility in both men and women, which was cleared that there is not any research based scientific evidence in this and it is just a rumour.The Covid vaccination and medical camp was held in village Rang, block Wavoora and Distributed 150+ Covid kits by Goonj. The doctors present were Dr. Ashrif Nodel officer covid19 and BMO sogam Dr Fareed shaheen Chaudhary and other staff members.
