Handwara,September 02: Observing the proper SOP, the Staff(both teaching and non-teaching) of Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Villagam, Kupwara met in the premises of the institute under the chair of it’s Principal-Haji Alam Ud Din on 02.09.2020 at 10:30 am. The Staff had assembled to mourn the death of one their colleagues,Pir Muhammad Iqbal,Lecturer Commerce who lost the battle of life to Covid-19 on 30.08.2020 in SMHS Srinagar and the last rites performed on 31.08.2020.
The speakers on the occasion threw light on the life of the departed lecturer and regarded him as one of the best teachers,humanist and a religious scholar. The speakers unanimously held the view that the deceased lecturer was an institution in itself. The Staff members expressed their grief over the sad demise of the lecturer and said that his death was a great loss to the society in general and the institute in particular. The Staff expressed their solidarity and offered their condolences with the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty Allah to place the departed soul in Jannah and give the bereaved family courage to bear this irreparable loss. Those who spoke on the occasion included Mr Ayub Dilber, the Staff Secretary, Mr Altaf Hussain PEM,Mr Bilal Qutab Senior Lecturer and Mr Haji Alam Ud Din , the Principal of the Institute.
Later on the whole staff proceeded to the ancestral home of the deceased lecturer and held another condolence meet there. The speakers in the condolence meet also highlighted the role of the deceased lecturer and offered their condolences to the family of the deceased. The Principal of the Institute assured every possible help to the family in forwarding the case of the deceased to the concerned quarters at the earliest.
