Kupwara: A massive fire was engulfed in Kalaroose area of compartment Number 96 & 97 on Saturday in North Lolab Range, is under control after hectic efforts of the department and volunteers of the said area.
According to the Block Forest officcer, “On Saturday the fire engulfed in the forests due to long dry spell and is under control now till 7PM “, said official
Range officer North Lolab said, after frantic efforts by the frontline warriors, FPF and some volunteers of the area, that the fire is under control .
He further added from last 2 days, frontline warriors are on job for dousing of fire and tomorrow by the grace of Almighty, we would completely bring fire under control.
It is pertinent to mention here this is third incident in two months.
