DTFC reviews Covid vaccination phase II in Kupwara



KUPWARA, MARCH 05:  District Task Force Committee (DTFC) regarding Covid-19 vaccination today met here under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din to discuss performance and measures of vaccination process in the district.
The meeting discussed threadbare arrangements for conducting of second phase of vaccination programme in the district under which general population having 60 years of age and above and those having 45 to 59 years of age with certain ailments like heart disease, renal disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and malignancy shall be vaccinated in the first instance.
The other issues which were discussed in the meeting include identification of Covid-19 vaccination sites, deployment of staff, holding of vaccination sessions on daily basis except Sunday and Wednesday, uploading of beneficiaries on Cowin App, inter-sectoral coordination, cold chain and utilization of local influencer, besides, involvement of PRIs in the vaccination drive.
It was given out in the meeting that 100 Vaccination Centres shall be established in 10 medical blocks of the district for which employees from Health, Civil administration and Police shall be deployed for smooth conduct of vaccination process.
The DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure better coordination for smooth implementation of the Covid vaccination programme and follow the SOPs of Covid-19 strictly. He directed them to make Covid sampling of all students and teachers in boarding schools to ensure safety of students.
The DDC also directed Block Medical officers and Zonal Education Officers to conduct frequent inspection of institutions under their jurisdiction and submit inspection reports to his office. 
Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, Chief Medical Officer briefed the meeting about the progress of on-going vaccination process in the district.
Among others, JD Planning, Chief Education Officer Kupwara, BMOs and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
