Kupwara :- Dudwan reds trounces Dudwan Knight Riders in the final of Dudwan Premier League 2021 season 5.
After winning the toss DKR elected to field first and restricted Dudwan Reds 156/6 runs from 18 overs . The top scorer was Peer Akash who made 44 runs with 3 fours and 4 sixes and also took 1 wicket.
While chasing the target DKR lose their openers early. While Middle order batsmans made good partnership and take the pressure off, but Dudwan Reds bowlers were hungry they take wickets regularly and put DKR batsman on backfoot.After 2 down Abar and Ashiq came and bowled last session overs and take the game from DKR . Ashiq Hussain took 4 wickets in his 4 overs of spell.
A brilliant bowling spell by Ashiq and Akash followed by a near flawless performance in the field led to Dudwan Reds to win the final match against Dudwan Knight Riders.
Dudwan Knight Riders bowlers did the same in first inning of the game, but they drop important 3 catches that cost them to lost their match .
Peer Akash was declared Man of the Match his brilliant performance .

In a glitzy prize distribution ceremony, the chief guest and guest of honour presented all the players with prizes while Dudwan Reds was presented with the trophy and cheque of 3000 and runner-up team was given a trophy and cash prize of Rs 500.
During press conference Dudwan Reds captain Shahid Peer Said, ” First of all I am very happy it is very tough job to hold the charge of leadership in team and it was not possible for me to led team in final, but I am very thankful to all my senior players and team management who guide me in every match. Thanks to tournament organizers for organizing such beautiful tournaments,hope in future we will see these tournaments again, so that youth will stay away from drugs.
